The SmartPile Intelligent Infrastructure System provides real-time continuous quality monitoring from component fabrication to construction and throughout the entire lifecycle of a structure.  Our Internet-based SmartPile Portal provides secure long-term storage of all sensor data - from SmartPile sensors and 3rd party sensors - as well as reporting, trending, mapping, visualization and exporting capabilities.  The system provides access control to enable only the appropriate personnel to access data on a project-by-project basis.

SmartPile Intelligent Infrastructure System also provides programmable alarms and alerts to the appropriate agencies and personnel to enable real-time situational awareness and decision making.  The underlying database supports the Bridge Software Institute's open geotechnical and substructure database standard to provide a permanent and secure warehouse of historical structural data for use by current and future analysis tools and programs.

One compelling benefit of using SmartPile for long-term health monitoring of the transportation infrastructure is that there is a commercial reason to deploy the sensors during construction.  Long-term structural monitoring simply becomes enabling the continued use of the SmartPile sensors that are already in place.  By using the SmartPile sensors built into the structure during construction, the upfront cost to implement long-term health monitoring on such a structure is a fraction of the cost of installing new external sensors after construction.
